HP 955 Black Ink Cartridge (L0S60AA)

The HP 955 Black Ink Cartridge (L0S60AA) is the standard-capacity black ink for HP's OfficeJet Pro 7700 and 8200 to 8700 series all-in-ones. HP 955 is the number HP uses for this cartridge in Asia-Pacific and several other markets; the same physical part appears as HP 953 in Europe and Africa and HP 952 in North America. Rated at approximately 1,000 pages of pigment-based black, it handles the everyday load of invoices, letters and reports in a working office.

Genuine or compatible?

This is the Original HP cartridge with HP's own chip, so the printer's ink-level gauge stays accurate and no non-genuine warning appears. Because HP numbers this part differently by region, do not be alarmed if your printer's screen asks for 953 or 952 instead of 955; the cartridge is the same and it will fit. What we would rather you do is check with us first, since a small number of firmware versions are strict about the region code. Compatible alternatives, including cartridges under our own Royal house brand, are stocked separately and priced on request.

Why buy from Trinatech

• We sell from a counter, not a catalogue.
• Come to The One Mall on River Road in Nairobi CBD, compare the box against your empty cartridge, and check the HP seal before you pay.
• We deliver the same day across Nairobi and ship countrywide by courier, and we hold negotiated bulk pricing for schools, cyber cafés, SACCOs and corporate accounts.
• Call or WhatsApp 0729 589 346 with your printer model and we will confirm the right part first.

Getting the most from this cartridge

• Keep the cartridge sealed until installation, since pigment ink dries quickly at the outlet once exposed.
• Handle it by the plastic body only.
• If output starts streaking, run the printer's own printhead cleaning routine before replacing anything, because on this series the printhead is a separate part and is the usual cause.
• Regular light use, even a page a week, keeps the ink path from clogging during quiet spells.

Frequently asked questions

• Is HP 955 the same cartridge as HP 953? Yes, the same physical part under a different regional number, and it fits the same printers.
• What does the XL version give? HP 955XL black is rated at about 2,000 pages against 1,000 here.
• Can the printer run with only the black cartridge fitted? No, all four cartridges must be installed.
• Does it fit the OfficeJet Pro 9010 series? No, that series uses HP 963 or HP 962.
• Do you supply matching colours? Yes, HP 955 cyan, magenta and yellow are available on request.
