HP 953 Black Original Ink Cartridge
KSh 5,000
Description
The HP 953 black ink cartridge is the genuine Original HP replacement, part number L0S58AE, for the HP OfficeJet Pro 8210 and 8700 series. These are the workhorse machines in a lot of Kenyan offices, and at roughly 1,000 pages the black cartridge is sized for real daily volume rather than occasional use. The ink is pigment-based, which is what keeps text crisp on invoices and contracts that get filed for years.

Genuine or compatible?
Genuine, Original HP, sealed box. Not a refill and not our Royal house brand, which we always sell under its own name. This range is one where HP firmware has been known to reject non-genuine cartridges after an update, which turns a saving into a stopped printer. If your office depends on this machine, the genuine cartridge is the lower-risk choice. We will still quote alternatives if you ask.
Why buy from Trinatech
- Nairobi CBD stock, available over the counter today.

Getting the most from this cartridge
- Fit it directly from the foil and take the tape off the ink outlet, leaving the chip alone.
- Four separate cartridges means you replace only what runs out, so check each level before ordering a full set.
- 1,000 pages assumes 5% coverage. Reports with tables and shaded headers will use noticeably more.
- Leave the printer powered on during the working day. Each cold start runs a maintenance cycle that spends ink you have already paid for.
Frequently asked questions
- Is there a higher-yield version? Yes, HP 953XL fits the same printers and prints considerably more pages.
- Do I need the colours too? Yes for colour work. HP 953 cyan, magenta and yellow are sold separately at around 700 pages each.
- How fast is delivery? Same day in Nairobi, next working day to most other towns.
- What are the return terms? Sealed and unused cartridges can be exchanged or refunded.
- My printer is an OfficeJet Pro 8600. Will this fit? No. The 8600 family takes HP 950, which is a different cartridge. Send us your model and we will match it.
