Genuine or compatible?
Genuine, Original HP in the sealed box. Not a refill and not our Royal house brand. This is a current-generation cartridge with HP's anti-fraud chip, and the firmware checks it, so non-genuine cartridges on the M507 and M528 are among the more commonly rejected. These machines also tend to sit on service contracts, where non-genuine consumables can put the arrangement in question. A cartridge the printer refuses is not a saving at any price.
Why buy from Trinatech
- Enterprise-class stock held in the Nairobi CBD rather than ordered in on request.
- Countrywide courier delivery, Nakuru, Eldoret, Kisumu and Mombasa included.
- M-Pesa or bank transfer, with proper invoicing and LPO handling for corporate accounts.
- WhatsApp us the model number, or visit The One Mall on River Road.
Getting the most from this cartridge
- Rock the cartridge gently before fitting and keep your fingers off the chip on the side.
- Order before you run out. On a shared workgroup machine the low-toner warning tends to be ignored until the queue stops.
- If your volume is high, HP 89X and the extra-high-yield 89Y both fit the same printers and cost less per page. Ask us to compare on your monthly figures.
- 5,000 pages assumes 5% coverage. Heavy reports and forms will come in under that on a machine running all day.
Frequently asked questions
- Is there a higher-yield version? Yes. HP 89X and 89Y both fit the same printers and hold considerably more toner.
- Do I need a separate drum? No. The drum is built into the cartridge, so both are replaced together.
- How fast is delivery? Same day within Nairobi, next working day to most towns.
- Can I return it? Yes, sealed and unused.
- My printer says the cartridge is not genuine. What now? Reseat it and wipe the chip contacts with a dry cloth. If it persists on a cartridge bought from us, bring it in and we will sort it out.
