Genuine or compatible?
Genuine, Original HP, sealed box. Not a refill and not our Royal house brand, which is always sold as Royal. Because the P1102 is so common, this is among the most counterfeited toner cartridges on the Kenyan market. The signs of a fake are grey rather than black text, powder leaking inside the machine and toner that rubs off a printed page. Getting the most from this cartridge
- Rock the cartridge gently side to side before fitting and pull the sealing strip out fully.
- When pages fade, remove and rock the cartridge again. On this model that reliably buys another fifty to a hundred pages.
- Store spares flat and boxed, out of the sun. Toner clumps in humidity and clumped toner streaks down the page.
- 1,600 pages assumes 5% coverage. Forms, receipts and anything with a dark header will fall short.
