Genuine or compatible?
Genuine, Original HP in the sealed box. Not a refill and not our Royal house brand, which is always sold under the Royal name. The M401 and M425 sold in large numbers, which makes this a commonly counterfeited cartridge. A fake shows itself through grey rather than black text, poor fusing and toner that comes off on your fingers. On a shared office printer that is a problem for everyone, not just whoever bought the cartridge.
Why buy from Trinatech
- Held in Nairobi CBD stock, including for machines other suppliers have dropped.
- Countrywide courier delivery, Nakuru, Eldoret, Kisumu and Mombasa included.
- M-Pesa or bank transfer, with proper invoicing for business accounts.
- WhatsApp us the model number, or walk in to The One Mall on River Road.
Getting the most from this cartridge
- Rock the cartridge gently side to side before fitting and remove the sealing strip completely.
- When print goes faint, take it out and rock it again before ordering. It commonly recovers another fifty pages or so.
- If your office prints more than a ream a month, HP 80X holds substantially more in the same slot and works out cheaper per page. Ask us to compare on your actual volume.
- 2,700 pages assumes 5% coverage. Invoices with heavy rules and forms with dark headers will come in under that.
Frequently asked questions
- Is there a higher-yield version? Yes, HP 80X black fits the same printers and holds considerably more toner.
- Do I need a separate drum? No. The drum is built into the cartridge, so both are replaced together.
- How fast is delivery? Same day within Nairobi, next working day to most towns.
- Can I return it? Yes, sealed and unused.
- I have seen this listed as CE280A. Which is right? CF280A. There is no HP part numbered CE280A, so if you see that code on a listing or an invoice it is a typing error rather than a different product.
