The HP 728 matte black ink cartridge (F9J68A) is the genuine Original HP 300ml black cartridge for the HP DesignJet T730 and T830. The T730 and T830 are HP's current mid-range wide-format plotters, built for offices, studios and engineering teams producing technical drawings, construction plans and presentation graphics at scale. This 300ml cartridge is well suited to production environments where downtime from cartridge changes has a real cost.

Genuine, Original HP in the sealed box. Not a refill and not our Royal house brand. The T730 and T830 are current-generation machines with HP's cartridge authentication, so non-genuine cartridges are more likely to be rejected here than on older plotters — a stopped plotter mid-job is a real cost in any production environment. Getting the most from this cartridge
- Install with the printer powered on; the chip needs to register at startup — do not install with the power off.
- Store cartridges upright at room temperature; storing on their side can affect the ink-level reading on the chip.
- Run a nozzle check after installing any new cartridge, especially if the plotter has been idle.
- These are volume-rated cartridges — yield depends on coverage area and media type, not a standard page count.
