The HP 711 black ink cartridge (CZ129A) is the genuine Original HP 38ml black cartridge for HP DesignJet wide-format plotters. If you are running a T120 or T520 for technical drawings, CAD output or engineering plans, this is the black cartridge it takes. Pigment-based ink gives sharp, smudge-resistant lines on plain paper and technical media.

Getting the most from this cartridge
- Install it with the printer powered on so it registers correctly; do not install with the printer switched off.
- Store spares upright at room temperature — DesignJet cartridges have a chip that tracks ink levels and must be kept upright to stay calibrated.
- Run a printhead check after installing a new cartridge, especially if the machine has been idle.
- The 38ml cartridge is the standard size; a higher-capacity 80ml black (CZ133A) is available if you print at high volume.
