Specifications

Genuine or compatible?

Genuine, Original HP in the sealed box. Not a refill and not our Royal house brand, which we always sell as Royal. On a departmental colour machine the four cartridges have to lay down consistently against each other for colours to come out right. One non-genuine cartridge with a slightly different pigment shifts every colour page, and on a machine printing thousands of pages a month you will have produced a great deal of work before anyone traces the fault. These printers also often sit on a service contract, where non-genuine consumables can raise questions.

Why buy from Trinatech

• Held in Nairobi CBD stock, including for machines other suppliers have dropped.
• Countrywide courier delivery, Nakuru, Eldoret, Kisumu and Mombasa included.
• M-Pesa or bank transfer, with proper invoicing and LPO handling for corporate accounts.
• WhatsApp us the model number, or walk in to The One Mall on River Road.

Getting the most from this cartridge

• Rock the cartridge gently before fitting. These are large cartridges and toner settles during shipping.
• Handle it by the ends and keep the drum away from light and fingers.
• At 6,000 pages the colours outlast the black, which yields 5,500. Check all four levels before ordering rather than assuming they empty together.
• 6,000 pages assumes 5% coverage of cyan specifically. Full-colour reports and marketing work will consume it considerably faster.

Frequently asked questions

• Is there a higher-yield version? HP offers a high-yield black, the 507X. The colours are sold as standard capacity only.
• Do I need the other cartridges too? In time yes. The set is black CE400A at 5,500 pages, plus yellow CE402A and magenta CE403A at around 6,000 pages each.
• How fast is delivery? Same day within Nairobi, next working day to most towns.
• Can I return it? Yes, sealed and unused.
• Will the printer stop if one colour runs out? On most of these models yes, even for a black-only job, so watch all four levels.
