Genuine or compatible?
Genuine, Original HP, sealed box. Not a refill and not our Royal house brand, which we always sell as Royal. Colour matching is where non-genuine toner shows itself fastest. If one cartridge in the set uses a slightly different pigment, greens and greys shift across every page and the cause is hard to trace back to a single cartridge. Mixing genuine and compatible cartridges in a colour laser is the most common source of colour complaints we see at the counter.
Why buy from Trinatech
- Held in Nairobi CBD stock, including for colour lasers other suppliers have dropped.
- Countrywide courier delivery, Nakuru, Eldoret, Kisumu and Mombasa included.
- M-Pesa or bank transfer, with proper invoicing for business accounts.
- WhatsApp us the model number, or walk in to The One Mall on River Road.
Getting the most from this cartridge
- Rock the cartridge gently before installing and pull the sealing strip out fully.
- Handle it by the ends and keep the drum away from light and fingers.
- At 7,000 pages the cyan outlasts the black on this machine, so check all four levels before ordering rather than assuming they empty together.
- 7,000 pages assumes 5% coverage of cyan specifically, so a page with a large block of blue can consume a great deal more than the figure suggests.
Frequently asked questions
- Is there a higher-yield version? Yes, HP 504X is available for this range. Ask us what we hold.
- Do I need the other cartridges too? In time yes. The set is black CE250A at 5,000 pages, plus yellow CE252A and magenta CE253A at around 7,000 pages each.
- How soon can I get it? Same day within Nairobi, next working day upcountry.
- Can I return it? Yes, provided it is sealed and unused.
- Why does the cyan cost more than the black? It holds more toner. At 7,000 pages against 5,000 it works out similar or better per page.
