Genuine or compatible?
Genuine, Original HP in the sealed box. Not a refill and not our Royal house brand, which is always sold as Royal. These machines are old but genuinely durable, and plenty are still running in Kenyan offices because they were built to a standard that outlasted their replacements. That is exactly why the toner matters: a leaking cartridge inside a machine like this means a service call, and a good 4250 is worth keeping properly supplied.
Why buy from Trinatech
- Held in Nairobi CBD stock, including for machines other suppliers have stopped carrying.
- Courier delivery countrywide, Nakuru, Eldoret, Kisumu and Mombasa included.
- M-Pesa or bank transfer, with proper invoicing and LPO handling for corporate accounts.
- WhatsApp us the model number, or walk in to The One Mall on River Road.
Getting the most from this cartridge
- Rock the cartridge gently side to side before fitting. These are large cartridges and toner settles in transit.
- Order before you run out. On a shared departmental machine an empty cartridge stops a whole floor.
- If your volume is high, HP 42X holds roughly twice as much in the same slot and works out cheaper per page. Ask us to compare on your monthly figures.
- 10,000 pages assumes 5% coverage. Heavy reports and forms will come in well under that on a machine running all day.
Frequently asked questions
- Is there a higher-yield version? Yes, HP 42X fits the same printers and holds around twice as much toner.
- Do I need anything else? These take a single black cartridge, so no. Ask us about maintenance kits if the printer has high mileage.
- How fast is delivery? Same day within Nairobi, next working day to most towns.
- Can I return it? Yes, sealed and unused.
- My machine is over a decade old. Is this cartridge still made? Yes. That is a large part of why these printers remain worth running rather than replacing.
