HP 312A Black Toner Original Laserjet Catridge (CF380A)

The HP 312A black toner cartridge is the genuine Original HP replacement, part number CF380A, for the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M476 series. These are all-in-one colour lasers built for a small office that needs scanning and copying alongside proper colour output. Because the machine also handles copying, the cartridges run down faster than the print counter alone suggests.

Specifications

Genuine or compatible?

Genuine, Original HP in the sealed box. Not a refill and not our Royal house brand, which we sell openly under its own name. On a four-cartridge colour machine the black does most of the work and gets replaced most often, which is where the temptation to economise sits. The catch is that a black which fuses differently from the three colours beside it shows as a dull or patchy finish on any mixed page.

Why buy from Trinatech

• Held in Nairobi CBD stock, including for machines other suppliers have dropped.

• M-Pesa or bank transfer, with proper invoicing for business accounts.

Getting the most from this cartridge

• Rock the cartridge gently before installing and keep your fingers off the drum surface underneath.
• Store spares boxed and upright, away from heat and direct sunlight. Light degrades the drum coating on a colour laser cartridge.
• Replace only what is empty. On a four-cartridge machine that is where the running cost advantage comes from.
• 2,400 pages assumes 5% coverage. Presentations with shaded backgrounds and colour headers will bring that down noticeably.

Frequently asked questions

• Is there a higher-yield version? Yes, HP 312X black holds considerably more toner and fits the same printers. The colours are sold as standard capacity only.
• Do I need the other cartridges too? In time yes. The set is cyan CF381A, yellow CF382A and magenta CF383A at around 2,700 pages each.
• How fast is delivery? Same day within Nairobi, next working day upcountry.
• Can I return it? Yes, sealed and unused.
• Will the printer stop if one cartridge runs out? On most of these models yes, even for a black-only job, so watch all four levels.
