HP 312A Black Original Laserjet Toner Cartridge
KSh 8,000
Description
The HP 312A black toner cartridge is the genuine Original HP replacement, part number CF380A, for the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M476 series. These are all-in-one colour lasers built for a small office that needs scanning and copying alongside proper colour output. Because the machine also handles copying, the black cartridge runs down faster than the print counter alone suggests.

Genuine or compatible?
Genuine, Original HP in the sealed box. Not a refill and not our Royal house brand, which we sell openly under its own name. On a four-cartridge colour machine the black does most of the work and gets replaced most often, which is where the temptation to economise sits. The catch is that a black which fuses differently from the three colours beside it shows as a dull or patchy finish on any mixed page. Ask us for an honest comparison if budget is the deciding factor.
Why buy from Trinatech
- Nairobi CBD stock, available over the counter today.

Getting the most from this cartridge
- Rock the cartridge gently before installing and keep your fingers off the drum surface underneath.
- Replace only what is empty. On a four-cartridge machine that is where the running cost advantage comes from.
- If you print colour heavily, HP 312X black holds substantially more in the same slot and costs less per page.
- 2,400 pages assumes 5% coverage. Presentations with shaded backgrounds and colour headers will bring that down noticeably.
Frequently asked questions
- Is there a higher-yield version? Yes, HP 312X black fits the same printers and holds considerably more toner.
- Do I need the colours too? Yes for colour printing. HP 312A cyan CF381A, yellow CF382A and magenta CF383A are sold separately at around 2,700 pages each.
- How soon can I get it? Same day within Nairobi, next working day upcountry.
- Can I return it? Yes, sealed and unused.
- Will the printer stop if a colour runs out? On most of these models yes, even for a black-only job, so watch all four levels.
