HP 130A Black Original Toner Laserjet Catridge (CF350A)

The HP 130A black toner cartridge is the genuine Original HP replacement, part number CF350A, for the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M176n and M177fw. These are compact colour all-in-ones built for a small office or reception desk that needs occasional colour alongside everyday scanning and copying. They were sold in good numbers across Kenya, and the toner is the only part that ever needs buying.

Genuine, Original HP in the sealed box. Not a refill and not our Royal house brand, which is always sold as Royal. On a four-cartridge colour machine the black does most of the work and gets replaced most often, which is where the temptation to economise sits. The catch is that a black which fuses differently from the three colours beside it shows as a dull or patchy finish on any mixed page.

Getting the most from this cartridge

• Rock the cartridge gently before installing, then remove any protective packaging fully before it goes into the machine.
• Handle it by the ends and store spares boxed and upright, away from heat and direct sunlight. Light degrades the drum coating on a colour laser cartridge.
• At 1,300 pages these are small cartridges. On an all-in-one the cartridge also feeds the copier, so it runs down faster than the print count alone suggests.
• 1,300 pages assumes 5% coverage. Documents with logos, shaded tables and colour headers will come in well under that.

• Is there a higher-yield version? No. HP sells the 130A as a standard-capacity range only.
• Do I need the other cartridges too? In time yes. The set is cyan CF351A, yellow CF352A and magenta CF353A at around 1,000 pages each.
