HP 128A Magneta Toner Original Laserjet (CE322A)

The HP 128A magenta toner cartridge is the genuine Original HP replacement, part number CE323A, for the HP LaserJet Pro CP1525 colour printers and the CM1415 colour all-in-ones. It is one of three colour cartridges in these machines and is replaced individually, so you buy only the colour that has actually run out.

Getting the most from this cartridge

• Rock the cartridge gently before installing and keep your fingers off the drum surface underneath.
• Store spares boxed and upright, away from heat and direct sunlight. Light degrades the drum coating on a colour laser cartridge.
• At 1,300 pages the colours empty faster than people expect on a machine used for anything more than occasional colour. Keeping one spare avoids a stopped printer.
• 1,300 pages assumes 5% coverage of magenta specifically, so a page carrying a large block of that colour can consume a great deal more than the figure suggests.

• Is there a higher-yield version? No. HP sells the 128A as a standard-capacity range only.
• Do I need the other cartridges too? In time yes. The set is black CE320A at 2,000 pages, plus cyan CE321A and yellow CE322A at around 1,300 pages each.
