Genuine or compatible?
Genuine, Original HP in the sealed box. Not a refill and not our Royal house brand, which is always sold as Royal. On a four-cartridge colour laser the black does most of the work and gets replaced most often, which is where the temptation to economise sits. The catch is that a black which fuses differently from the three colours beside it shows as a dull or patchy finish on any mixed page, and the fault is hard to trace.
Why buy from Trinatech
- Held in Nairobi CBD stock, including for machines other suppliers have dropped.
- Countrywide courier delivery, Nakuru, Eldoret, Kisumu and Mombasa included.
- M-Pesa or bank transfer, with proper invoicing for business accounts.
- WhatsApp us the model number, or walk in to The One Mall on River Road.
Getting the most from this cartridge
- Rock the cartridge gently before installing and keep your fingers off the drum surface underneath.
- Black empties well before the colours here, which yield 1,300 against 2,000. Buying black on its own rather than as a set is usually the cheaper approach.
- Store spares boxed and upright, away from heat and direct sunlight. Light degrades the drum coating on a colour laser cartridge.
- 2,000 pages assumes 5% coverage. Documents with colour headers and shaded tables will bring that down noticeably.
Frequently asked questions
- Is there a higher-yield version? No. HP sells the 128A as a standard-capacity range only.
- Do I need the colours too? Yes for colour printing. HP 128A cyan CE321A, yellow CE322A and magenta CE323A are sold separately at around 1,300 pages each.
- How fast is delivery? Same day within Nairobi, next working day to most towns.
- Can I return it? Yes, sealed and unused.
- Will the printer stop if a colour runs out? On most of these models yes, even for a black-only job, so keep an eye on all four levels.
