The HP 126A black toner cartridge is the genuine Original HP replacement, part number CE310A, for the HP LaserJet Pro CP1025, the 100 colour MFP M175 and the TopShot M275. These are the smallest colour lasers HP built, aimed at a desk or a small reception area that needs occasional colour rather than volume.

Genuine or compatible?
Genuine, Original HP in the sealed box. Not a refill and not our Royal house brand, which is always sold as Royal. One thing that surprises people on this range: the imaging drum is a separate part, HP 126A CE314A, rather than being built into the cartridge. If pages come out streaked or faded after fitting fresh toner, the drum is usually the culprit rather than the cartridge you just bought.

Getting the most from this cartridge
- Rock the cartridge gently before installing and remove any protective packaging fully before it goes in.
- Handle it by the ends. The drum surface marks easily and fingerprints show on every page afterwards.
- At 1,200 pages these are small cartridges. In an office printing colour daily they empty quickly, so keeping a spare avoids a stopped machine.
- Remember the separate imaging drum, HP 126A CE314A. It lasts far longer than a cartridge but it does wear out, and replacing toner will not fix a worn drum.

- Is there a higher-yield version? No. HP sells the 126A as a standard-capacity range only.
- Do I need the other cartridges too? In time yes. The set is cyan CE311A, yellow CE312A and magenta CE313A at around 1,000 pages each.
