Description
The HP 125A yellow toner cartridge is the genuine Original HP replacement, part number CB542A, for the HP Color LaserJet CP1215 and CM1312 family. Yellow is replaced individually like the other colours, so a single empty cartridge does not mean buying a full set.

Genuine or compatible?
Genuine, Original HP, sealed box. Not a refill and not our Royal house brand, which we always sell openly as Royal. Yellow is the cartridge people notice least and complain about most, because a weak or off-shade yellow turns greens muddy and makes company logos look wrong without anyone being able to say why. Keeping all four cartridges genuine is the simplest way to avoid that. Ask us and we will quote a compatible honestly alongside it.
Why buy from Trinatech
- Stocked in the Nairobi CBD, available over the counter today.
- Courier countrywide, from the lakeside towns through to the coast.
- M-Pesa and bank transfer both accepted, invoiced for business customers.
- Order on WhatsApp, or come to The One Mall on River Road.
Getting the most from this cartridge
- Rock it gently before installation and remove the sealing strip fully before sliding it into the carriage.
- Keep fingers off the drum and store spares upright, boxed and out of direct sunlight.
- If your printing is mostly text, yellow will outlast black by a wide margin. Check all four levels before ordering so you are not replacing a cartridge that still has months left in it.
- 1,400 pages assumes 5% yellow coverage. Full-colour photographs and dense charts will use it considerably faster.
Frequently asked questions
- Is there a higher-yield version? No. HP sells 125A as a standard-capacity cartridge for this series only.
- Do I need the other cartridges too? In time yes. The set is black CB540A at 2,200 pages, cyan CB541A and magenta CB543A at around 1,400 pages each.
- How fast is delivery? Same day within Nairobi, next working day to most towns.
- Can I return it? Yes, if the packaging is sealed and unopened.
- My prints look green rather than yellow. Is the cartridge faulty? Usually not. That points to the cyan running heavy or a cartridge not seated properly, so check all four before replacing anything.
