The HP 125A cyan toner cartridge is the genuine Original HP replacement, part number CB541A, for the HP Color LaserJet CP1215 and CM1312 family. Genuine, Original HP, sealed box. Not a refill and not our Royal house brand, which we always sell as Royal. Colour matching is where non-genuine toner shows itself most clearly. If one of your four cartridges is a compatible with a slightly different pigment, greens and greys come out wrong across every page, and the fault is hard to trace. Getting the most from this cartridge
- Rock it gently before installation and pull the sealing strip out in one steady movement.
- Handle it by the ends and keep the drum away from light and fingers.
- Colour cartridges often expire from age rather than use in a low-volume office. If you print colour rarely, buy one when you need it rather than stocking spares for years.
- 1,400 pages assumes 5% coverage of cyan specifically, so a page with a large blue graphic can consume a great deal more than the figure suggests.

- Is there a higher-yield version? No. HP 125A is sold as a standard-capacity cartridge for this series.
- Do I need the other colours too? You will eventually. HP 125A magenta is CB543A and yellow is CB542A, each around 1,400 pages, plus the black CB540A at 2,200 pages.

- Can I keep printing with an empty cyan? Usually not. These printers generally stop rather than substituting another colour, so a single empty cartridge halts the machine.
