The HP 122 tri-colour ink cartridge is the genuine Original HP colour cartridge, part number CH562HE, for the compact DeskJet family. Cyan, magenta and yellow sit in one unit, so a single cartridge covers everything from a coloured letterhead to a chart in a monthly report. It pairs with the HP 122 black, and most of these DeskJets want both installed before they will print.

Getting the most from this cartridge
- Install it straight out of the foil. Small tri-colour cartridges dry out faster than most people expect.
- Remove the tape from the nozzles only, and keep fingers off the contacts.
- 100 pages assumes 5% coverage. Photos and full-colour graphics will use it up far sooner, so budget accordingly.
- Print something in colour every week or two. A colour cartridge left unused in a printer that only ever prints black will clog and be wasted.
