Description
The HP 121 tri-colour ink cartridge is the genuine Original HP colour cartridge, part number CC643HE, carrying cyan, magenta and yellow in a single unit. It is what you need for logos on letterheads, charts inside a report or the occasional colour certificate. It works alongside the HP 121 black, and most of these printers will not run until both are fitted.

Getting the most from this cartridge
- Open the foil only when you are ready to install, and peel the tape off the nozzles rather than the copper contacts.
- Tri-colour cartridges are replaced as one unit. When any single colour is exhausted the cartridge is finished, so avoid printing large blocks of one colour if you want even use.
- Colour-heavy pages such as full-page graphics will fall well short of 165 pages, which assumes 5% coverage.
- If colours look wrong or banded after fitting, run the printer's align and clean routine before assuming the cartridge is faulty.

- Do I need the black cartridge as well? Yes, in practice. Most of these printers will not print at all with only one cartridge installed.
