Genuine or compatible?
This is a genuine, Original Epson ribbon cartridge. Genuine Epson fabric ribbons are heavily saturated with high-quality lubricating ink that extends the life of your printer's printhead pins. If you are operating on a strict budget for high-volume retail receipt printing, our Royal compatible equivalent is available---it provides the exact same physical fit at a lower cost.
Why buy from Trinatech

Getting the most from this cartridge
- Before installing the new ribbon, locate the small tension knob on the cartridge and turn it in the direction of the arrow to pull the fabric taut. A loose ribbon can snag on the printhead and tear. Always keep spare ribbons sealed in their plastic packaging; exposure to dry, hot air will cause the lubricating ink to evaporate prematurely.
Frequently asked questions
- Is there an XL or high-yield alternative? This is the standard maximum capacity ribbon for these specific POS printers.
- Do I need other colours to print? No, this is a dedicated black ribbon for monochrome receipt printing.
- What is the delivery time? Same-day for Nairobi CBD; expect next-day delivery for other regions in Kenya.
- What is your warranty or returns policy? We provide the manufacturer's warranty on all genuine sealed products.
- Why is the text suddenly very faint? The ink is depleted, or the printhead gap lever on your printer is set too wide for the paper thickness.
