Description
The Epson EH-TW6250 is a 4K PRO-UHD home cinema projector with Android TV built in — 2,800 lumens, 35,000:1 contrast, and streaming apps running on the projector itself with no laptop or media box attached. It is the same picture engine as the EH-TW6150 with the smart platform added, which for most households is the version that actually gets used.
What it works with
Android TV gives you Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, Disney+ and around 4,000 other apps directly, with voice search on the remote. Built-in Chromecast lets you cast from an Android or iOS phone, a Windows PC or a Mac. One HDMI 1.4 input covers a console or a set-top box.
A 10W speaker is built in. As with any projector at this level, external audio is worth adding when budget allows.
Note what this model does not have: vertical lens shift, and a second HDMI port. Both are on the TW6150. Without lens shift you will need to position the projector more carefully — roughly level with the top or bottom of the screen — or fall back on keystone correction, which squares the picture digitally at some cost to sharpness. Tell us your room layout and we will tell you honestly which of the two suits it.

Who this is for
Households and small venues wanting a big-screen picture that anyone can switch on and use. The Android TV inclusion is the practical difference — a projector that needs a laptop connected tends to be used on occasions, while one with streaming built in gets used on ordinary evenings.
As with the TW6150, this is pixel-shifted 4K rather than native 4K. Sharper than Full HD, genuinely, but not a true 4K panel.

Getting the most from this projector
Position it as close to level with the screen as your room allows, so you need as little keystone correction as possible — every degree of digital correction costs a little sharpness. Give it a proper screen or a plain matte wall; a textured or coloured wall undoes a lot of what you paid for. Use game mode for consoles and switch out of it for films. Keep the vents clear and let it cool before moving it.
