Genuine or compatible?
This is a genuine, Original Canon cartridge. Because the PG-445 includes a brand-new printhead built directly into the cartridge, using genuine ensures perfect print quality every time you replace it. However, if cost savings are your primary concern, our Royal compatible equivalent is available for these models, giving you the same exact fit at a lower cost for everyday draft printing.

Getting the most from this cartridge
- Always store the cartridge in a cool, dry place.
- The standard PG-445 contains a relatively small amount of ink designed for light home use; to stretch the 180-page yield further, set your printer to "Fast" or "Draft" mode for internal paperwork.
- Leave the empty cartridge inside the printer until you are ready to install the new one to protect the internal contacts.
Frequently asked questions
- Is there an XL or high-yield alternative? Yes, the PG-445XL offers up to 400 pages and fits the exact same printers.
- Do I need the colour cartridge to print? Most PIXMA models require both the black and colour (CL-446) cartridges to be installed.
- What is the delivery time? We offer same-day delivery in Nairobi CBD, and next-day dispatch countrywide.
- What is your warranty or returns policy? We honour the standard Canon warranty for factory-sealed, genuine items.
- Why does my new cartridge look empty? Yields are based on 5% page coverage; printing full pages of text drains the small ink well quickly.
